Paying Your Bill

We offer many different ways to make payments. While most of the ways are free, some do incur a small processing fee. 

Explore the two different options below to help you find the best and most convenient way for you to pay your bill. 

How Would You Like to Pay?


  • You can make a one-time payment using a credit card online by clicking here or over the phone 24/7 at 1-877-426-6999. Please note for security reasons, our customer service representatives are not able to take payments over the phone. 

    There is a $1.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.

  • There are multiple ways you can pay using your checking account.

    • Paperless Billing 
      Paperless is now available through My Account! With Paperless, you can choose to receive an email or text letting you know your bill is available to view and pay online. Click the button below to sign up for My Account and get set up with Paperless.

      You can make a one-time, fee-free payment using your checking account through My Account.

    • Mail your payment to us
      Return the lower portion of your bill, along with a check or money order, in the envelope provided with your bill and mail it to:

      NOTE: If you use your bank's bill pay service, please verify they have the correct mailing address. All payments sent to the wrong location will be returned. The sender will be responsible to resend payment to the correct address, causing a delay in payments being posted in a timely manner. This could result in late fees being assessed on the customer's account.

  • You can use cash to pay your bill at several authorized payment locations. Click the button below for a complete list. There is no fee for this service.

      • Make a one-time payment using your bank account. This service is free of charge.
      • Schedule automatic payments to avoid late fees.

  • Pay with credit card:

    For security purposes, our customer service representatives are not able to take payments over the phone. Customers wishing to pay over the phone using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express) or debit card can call us 1-877-426-6999 TDD: 711 and select the option to make a payment. You will be redirected to our secure payment line. Please note there is a $1.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.

  • For all customers EXCEPT Mt. Ebo Wastewater

  • Liberty has agreements with several authorized payment locations across the state.

    • Authorized Payment Agents

      Click the button below for a complete list of authorized payment locations near you. Please only use authorized payment agents. Paying using other services may result in delays in posting your payments. There is no fee for this service*.

      *Important: To locate authorized payment locations that do not charge a convenience fee, within the  Biller Search box you must input Liberty Utilities and select your state from the dropdown menu. Also be sure to input your state in the  "Location Search" box.

Things to keep in mind: 

Be Aware of Consumer Fraud

  • Utility customers are frequent targets of fraud. Scammers can use emails, phone calls or text messages to trick you into giving them your personal information. Click here for information to help you identify legitimate messages, calls and visits from Liberty to help you avoid falling for a scam. 

Pay Through a Third Party

  • If someone handles paying your bills, such as a relative, trustee or social service organization, we can send a copy of your bill, as well as a reminder, past-due and shut-off notices, to that third party. To add a third-party, visit My Account portal or contact our customer service center at 1-877-426-6999, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

Payment Arrangements

  • Sometimes customers face circumstances that stretch their financial resources. If you cannot pay your bill by the due date, please contact our Customer Service Center immediately, BEFORE the due date at 1-877-426-6999 TDD: 711.

    NOTE: Mt. Ebo wastewater customers should call 1-845-878-0007; Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

    When you call, our customer service representatives will work with you on a plan to pay the balance of the bill over time. These payment arrangements require you to:
    • Pay at least 20 percent of your bill.
    • Pay the rest of the bill, including any applicable late payment charge according to an agreed upon schedule, not to exceed twelve months.
    • Pay all future bills as they become due.
      Liberty will create these payment arrangements only with customers who have not broken a similar agreement with us in the past twelve months.
